Residential Waste
ABC Disposal offers residential waste services for homes in the Robins, Iowa.

RESIDENTIAL PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place totes curbside the night before or by 5am on your scheduled pick- up day.
- Place totes with three feet clearance and with the open side of the lid towards the street. The lid on the container must be able to close. Adequate spacing allows the arm of the waste/recycling truck to come down on the carts and grab them.
- Do not park vehicles in front of totes due for pick up.
- Allow six feet of clearance from the tote and any obstructions such as streetlights, mailboxes, trees or electrical poles.
- Additional bag tags may be purchased for additional waste. Tags are sold at ABC, Robins City Hall & Casey’s in Robins. This bag should be placed beside the container.

- Newspapers, inserts, junk mail, magazines, catalogs, phone books, and paper back books
- Plastic bottles and jugs with #1-7 in the triangle on the item bottom (empty, and rinsed)

FAQ’s
When will our garbage collection service change?
The final week of garbage collection services provided by Rudd Sanitation will be June 23 – 27. ABC Disposal Systems services will begin the following week, June 30-July 4.
Will I be able to use my Rudd garbage stickers?
No, Rudd garbage stickers are only recognized by Rudd Sanitation and will need to be used by the final week of service is provided by Rudd Sanitation. Garbage stickers will be available for purchase when garbage collection begins with ABC Disposal Systems. These stickers will cost $1.25 and can be purchased at ABC Disposal, Robins City Hall & Casey’s in Robins.
Will I be able to use my existing garbage and recycling containers?
No, ABC Disposal Systems use automated collection trucks equipped with mechanisms to grab, lift, and empty garbage and recyclables in industrial designed “carts”. 65-Gallon Trash & Recycling Carts will be delivered to you, by ABC Disposal Systems, in late June. ABC Disposal Systems can arrange to dispose of your old containers at no additional charge.
What do I do if I have additional garbage to dispose of?
Additional garbage, e.g. that would normally fit within the appropriate cart, can be placed in a bag, by your carts with an additional sticker applied. Additional Bag Tags are available to purchase at ABC Disposal, Robins City Hall & Casey’s in Robins.
If you have a large or bulky item you need disposed of, call ABC Disposal at 319-395-0904 to make arrangements for pickup.
Will I be able to recycle glass containers?
No, ABC Disposal Systems is not able to accept glass for recycling. The best option to recycle glass will be to visit the Solid Waste Agency located on County Home Road, where you can recycle glass at no additional charge.
Will I be able to have my garbage collection bill paid automatically?
Yes, Robins Residents will be billed Quarterly. And includes an option to pay your bill via a secure online bill pay system that accepts both Credit Card and ACH payments. Additionally you can mail in payment or call to pay over the phone. You can also opt into paperless billing.
Will I be able to have my yard waste collected?
Yes, ABC Disposal Systems can also collect yard waste that is placed in their provided yard waste cart. Yard waste services are optional and include a 95-Gallon Cart, collected weekly, year around. The cost for this service is $7/month.
Can I place additional yard waste in a brown paper bag designed for yard waste?
Yes, but you will need to purchase the yard waste bags & affix an ABC Disposal Systems Extra Bag Tag sticker to each paper yard waste bag.
Alternatively, for $7 ABC Disposal Systems provides you with a wheeled & fully enclosed 95 gallon yard waste cart.
ABC Disposal collects yard waste that is placed in an ABC Disposal provided yard waste cart.
Can I request an additional dumpster for larger collection needs or can I make arrangements for larger,
bulky items to be picked up?
